| An Individualized Program Because each of us experiences the aging process differently, Shepherd's Meadow takes a new approach to assisted living services. We offer a program of Wellness and Care to meet your individual requirements. To determine which Level of Services will help you maintain your independence, regularly scheduled health assessments are conducted. Our Fall Prevention Program is designed to help you stay active and strong, and to prevent unnecessary injuries and emotional stress. You can be assured that if health changes occur, we are prepared to meet your needs. The Wellness and Care program and the Fall Prevention Program can combine to possibly prevent the inconvenience of moving again. Activities of Daily Living The term "Activities of Daily Living" (ADL) refers to the basic tasks and personal care activities required for independent living in our society. Included in ADLs are shopping, meal planning and preparation, housekeeping, obtaining transportation, managing money, paying bills, properly taking medications, eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, and transferring in and out of bed or a chair. When you begin having difficulty with any of the Activities of Daily Living, it may be time to consider assisted living. However, you may want to consider making the transition to assisted living while still fully independent. At Shepherd's Meadow Assisted Living, our staff will have your comfort and happiness as our priority. We can provide the security and personal assistance you want and need. Caring touches, warm smiles and laughter will brighten your days. Levels of Wellness and Care Level I Services
